Whidbey Island held deep personal meaning for the couple, who grew up spending time there as their families crossed paths over the years. Choosing Captain Whidbey allowed the wedding to feel less like a single-day event and more like a shared weekend, with guests staying on-site and settling into the rhythm of the island together. Design details leaned whimsical without feeling costume-driven. A pale blue patterned dress, natural textures, and watercolor signage set a light, expressive tone that carried easily from cocktail hour into a packed dance floor.
